With the decline of Rome, this style of art also started to decline. The next big thing in the European arena was the Rococo style of art, led by France. During that time France was the center of power. In many ways, the Rococo style contradicts the style.

Later on, in the 19th-century Baroque art inspired Beaux-Arts. It found some presence in modern-day architecture. Nevertheless, this particular art form has found its place in Europe’s history.
